The reason for this apparently is that tall men are more successful FINANCIALLY than shorter men,and are therefore better able to afford the more expensive holidays ,which include cruising! O.K.
If you doubt these facts,bear in mind that there has never been a U.S. President under 6ft. tall.

2 sides to that coin: Tall successful men are very soft spoken and reserved. When one is over 6'-2 they do stand out and no need to call attention.
If a tall man is loud and bellicose, he ruffles feathers in a bad way. A former business associate was guilty of such and part of the reason he is former.
Many short men are loud and domineering to compensate; called the Napoleon complex.
If a man is short his dress and grooming have to be impeccable to be taken seriously.
When studying martial arts many years ago some of the best people in the class were women under 5' tall. 2 of them could be bodyguards.
Me: 5'-9" tall: dead average.
So I guess I at the top end, but I was on one cruise with a bunch of NBA guys, it was strange to be the short person in the room.
