Peter - Saw the jacket before, remember. Great match for your wheels. I saw a film about the Marco Polo and everyone in their red jackets - you certainly do need something warm down in Antartica. Nice of them to let you keep it, but then cost is probably figured into the price.

I am still waiting to see a picture of desirod6, or for him to tell us which person he is in that picture. How about it?

Hello,

Not what I expected Cambodge to look like... But in retrospect I don't know what I really expected...

Happy Cruising,

Nice photo, but was wondering what the 'badge' on your left arm says? Does it indicate where it came from?

That’s a nice collectable. A bit like a patch from the first moon landing. Gives one a special feeling by dating the patch and giving it with a jacket to the passengers. Orient Lines sure knows how to bond with the consumers. As I like to belief, it are the little things that count.

To Joe:
Thanks for the posting.

To others:
Thanks for the kind and gracious comments.

To all:
In response to your most-welcome interest, I shall post another anecdote or whatever in the Midships Lounge at my earliest convenience. Possibly this weekend.

Cambodge - agree with the others - "a very elegant couple". Looks like you are having your "after dinner" drinks. Oh, so many memories of my late husband and I doing this same thing on our Rotterdam trips, but he always had a cigar sticking out of his mouth or in his hand. What's a good Captain's coffee without a cigar, he always said!

Sympatico,

Your husband was like Mr. Gizmo but substitute the Captain's Coffee for Scotch.

Gizmo - actually it was Scotch more often than Captains coffee - they would have gotten along famously.

I hate to be an egotiost in requesting yet another posting by Joe, but in regards to comments re drinks it may be appropriate :

We usually have a brandy and expresso after dinner, and this was indeed the case.

And herewith a daylight shot. The noon, pre-lunch libation was typically a "bloody mary."
I have another picture of us having our pre-dinner martini, but that would establish a reputation of being lushees rather than that of a social drinkers.

Cambodge.

Cambodge:

A nice picture indeed - what ship was it taken on? It looks a though it might be the QE2, although the furniture and table does not familiar...let us know...

BTW - we're still missing a lot of pic of other Cruise Talkers - stepforward everyone!

Indeed a nice picture Cambodge,

Jugging by the windows it is not the QE2 but more likely to be HAL’s granddame the Rotterdam V.
Or was it already Rembrandt by the time the picture was taken?

Best from Holland, Onno
