Just booked on Holland America's Millennium cruise on Volendam. Anyone else have any plans for a Millennium cruise?

I was thinking about a Millennium cruise on one of the Russian ships TS Maxim Gorkiy or MS Astor. But TS Maxim Gorkiy was already booked out last year and they don't accept any reservations or waiting lists anymore and MS Astor can only be still booked if you combine it with a part or the rest of the world cruise segments.
It's a real pity because both ships belong to the nicest First-Class-ships afloat and they offer very nice destinations. TS Maxim Gorkiy is going to Funchal / Madeira and MS Astor will be in Rio de Janeiro.
Now I'll go on a 18 day cruise in August 1999 with TS Maxim Gorkiy (West Mexico, Panama Canal, Caribbean, East-USA and Canada).
It's maybe not Mellennium but it's still TS MAXIM GORKIY !

Hi everyone!!!
Finally someone starts yalking about the millennium cruises! I've been just confirmed a cabin aboard Costa Victoria for the millennium cruise. Anyone else going on this ship????

Glad to hear you got a cabin on a Millennium cruise. We're Holland America alumni and had trouble getting a cabin at first because we didn't want to put down a non-refundable deposit just to be on a waiting list. So we didn't. Then, out of the blue they called us 5 months later and said we were cleared for the Volendam. But, we ended up having to take two cabins for our family of four (two kids 5 and 4) instead of the outside quad that we wanted. We would still like to have that quad, but don't know if one will open up. Gerardo, how did you get your cabin on the Costa Victoria?

Hey!! how good that, after all, you'll be sailing on such an special date!!! And, I'm sure your kids will be happy for having their own cabin!:-)))

Well, we got the cabin on the Victoria thanks to the contacts of our travel agent, and maybe the fact that we have cruised with Costa 3 times, so we're also alumni:-)) There were (supposedly) no more inside cabins available, but our TA managed to get one. I'm 19 (almost 20) years old, so it's my father who takes care of all this. He didn't want to give a deposit, but finally he did it, and as soon as the cabin was confirmed, we had to give a second deposit.

I'm a bit worried because we have a cabin right below the pool deck area, so I'm afraid of noise during the night. Do you know something about cabins under the pools???
