Don, I haven't sailed the Galaxy yet, but we are booked for Alaska this summer. I did a lot of research before booking. I checked every message board I could find, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive. When and where are you going?

My family and I are looking forward to our first cruise on the Galaxy this August. I have read positive things about the food, entertainment and atmosphere. One complaint I read was that the ship does not have enough washers and dryers, but I wasn't playing on doing major laundry anyway. I have also read that this is one of the few ships that charges for drinks, both alcohol and soda. Since I'll be traveling with two kids, this could get expensive. It is OK for me to bring my own to have in the cabin? Also, when they say "formal" night, exactly what does that mean?

We have been on 6 cruises in the past 3 yrs. Galaxy is our favorite ship. Everything about it is great, food-service-crew-cabins. There is no complaints about anything. Chris, unless you are on a luxury liner, they all charge for alcoholic drinks. You can take your own on board for in your cabin.

I've sailed in Celebrity Cruises Galaxy on Dec. 12, 1998. It was my 4th time in a cruise ship.
It's a beautiful ship. The service is excellent. It's the best cruise ship that I've ever sailed.

Hubby & I were on Galaxy's repositioning 15 night from San Juan to Los Angeles that ended on Mother's Day. (One of the saddest Mother's Days ever!) We had the best cruise of all on that ship. Great food, attentive service, beautiful ship. Two minor complaints were vibrations from the thrusters whn the ship is leaving or approaching port, and the phoney cruise director. Every other aspect of this cruise, including the rest of the staff was outstanding.
