I'd like to hear from anyone out there that has been on this ship (Annie, I have read your other replies - your comments do make me feel a little better about this ship). I would like to hear from some other folks too.

My son cruised Costa last Christmas and his main complaint was ALL announcements were made in five languages.Was more than annoying.

Took the Romantica, Xmas 12/98 for the "italian experience," It was non-existent. The food was horrible. The coffee was like water (no espresso w/ meals). Restaurant service was horrible. Ran into the former Restaurant Captain from Sitmar (now in charge of the restaurant on the Romantica) He agreed and lamented about the old Sitmar service. Save your money. I've been on 8 cruises and it was my fiance's 2nd. We're off on Princess after New Year.

I've not Cruised with Costa, but this very web site gives them a pretty good review:

"Costa...is not specifically geared to the English speaking North American market...if meeting people from other countries and cultures and making friends with people who don't live down the block is as much your style as it is mine....then by all means consider the COSTA..."
