Going in July for a 7 night-Eastern Caribbean. What should we expect on this cruise? Anyone out there have any comments?
This will be our first cruise.

There are a few reviews located at this site: From the home page click on "Your Favorites". You can also find reviews at www.cruiseopinion.com and www.cruisereview.org. You will have the best time of your life on the cruise. Expect to become addicted though. Happy Sailing! ..Darlene..

Hi, we went on Enchantment for our first cruise last May, now we're hooked. Ship is beautiful it will blow your mind. Food is endless but not the fine dining experience we'd hoped for (not a critism it was very good) stayed in cat D with Verandah. Go to Orient Bay Beach in St Maarten - truly beautiful. We went kyaking in St Thomas which was fun. There's too much I could tell you, ask what you like and I'll try to answer

Thanks! Darlene and Gary for the helpful info.
Gary, Did you go on one of the tours to Orient Beach, or went on your own? Do they have snorkling equipment there to rent? Regarding the food.... I've also heard some other comments about RCI's food....Hope it's not too bad! We have an oceanview room on B deck, but took the gaurantee instead of assigned, hoping to get upgraded! Wanted late seating for dining, but it was booked. I'm sure we will have a great time and can't wait!

jh, We booked an excursion to Orient Bay. You can get a taxi and do it yourself but RCCL have the best sun loungers on the beach and a private area for their own use. Cant remember if there were snorkel facilities. Its pretty remote so maybe take your own. We saw a standard outside cabin, it was nice. We prefer late seating for dinner (fewer kids and you dont have to get dressed up too early) see the maitre d' when you get on the ship and he'll put you on a reserve list for late seating, if you give him a tip and ask nicely, he'll probably squeeze you in. The food is very good; just not very elegant. Its non-stop and, if you're an eater, you'll put on approx 1 to 2 lbs per day! Finally, to prove that booking a guarantee works, we just got upgraded to a sky suite on Galaxy for our Alaska cruise but paid for an ordinary cabin (the sky suite has 179sq ft verandah!) so good luck!!!
