Has anyone heard anything about ROC and Premier and their money troubles? Has anyone cruised with them recently that cruised with them in the past and has noticed a difference in service.

Just cruised on the SeaBreeze October 3 - 10th and the service was great! Infact, I'm sure that they are tying to improve their service and amenities - with complimentary Robes in each cabin with the Premier logo on it and chocolate-covered Strawberries on the pillow one night and then Godiva chocolate pieces other nights. Food was better than Royal Caribbean and Carnival - Ship was maintained fairly well and I noticed they were keeping the hull painted very well. Can't speak for Royal Olympic Cruises though, however, Premier just leased two of the Royal Olympic ships, the Odesseus and the Triton. I would say that, in my dealings with Premier lately that they are doing just fine.

Barryboat, Thanks for the info. It's great to hear that Premier are doing a good job with their seven star service. However, I just read that the once very small Louis Line of Cyprus are trying to buy 51.4% of Royal Olympic, which could see the break up of that company and someone else taking over their new ship!

No way ! The new OLYMPIC VOYAGER and the OLYMPIC ADVENTURER will definitely be delivered to Royal Olympic Cruises. Louis and ROC are already for a longer while working a bit closer together (remember the fleet exange of TSS THE TOPAZ - ex OLYMPIC). Louis is currently a very strong company and when this joint-venture will be settled, the Royal Olympic ships will remain under this brand so for passengers there won´t be lots of changements.
If somebody might still worry about the existence of ROC and Louis, I can already tell you that probably you won´t have to wait too long anymore until you will hear that also Premier Cruises is going to join them.

We just got off the S/S OCEANIC on
Friday and our experience is, that there is no way this line is in trouble. They take so good care of the vessel. The food was great, they
hire only the best chefs, the ship is very clean all of the staff is
helpful. And now the S/S REMBRANDT is on it's way here, if it's any indication folks, this line is doing
a superb job on all aspects. it seems that people keep putting this
line down and i don't know why. because for me, this line far outclasses all of the others, this was 5 star service and if the 7 CONTINENTS RESTAURANT was on land and in Europe, it would be considered a 7 STAR MICHELIN. Everything was excellent. PREMIER RULES BABY!!!!!!

I´m very happy about that you had such a nice cruise with Premier.
The line is really far better than many people would expect.
I think it´s great that there are lines like Premier, Louis or Royal Olympic which take so much care about the last real liners in service.

I cruised on the "Olympic Countess" last year and was very happy with all aspects of the trip, the organisation, the food, the excursions. It must have been very difficult to organise this international crowd. Many of the staff spoke 4 and more languages. Haven't heard anything about ROC being in trouble.
