We were thinking of taking a cruise to Alaska this coming summer and wanted to know which cruise line/ship has the best program for teenagers. HAL has a lot of info about its program. What about Princess or Carnival?

Carnival has a good Teenage programme so does Royal Caribbean. Holland America will I feel have less young people on board. I do not know so much about Princess but I am sure they do too.

I would say that Royal Caribbean definitely has the best kids and teens program(called Adventure Ocean). Of course, the kids are separated by age group and there are events planned for each age group.
When I took my 16 year old, she was so pleased with the program that she didn't want to leave! When we originally booked the cruise, she was concerned about being bored during the days at sea! NO WAY! There is plenty to do for teens and kids especially on Royal Caribbean!

Our teenagers enjoy themselves are Carnival the best. and suprisingly they are the best line as far as monitoring underage drinking on board. I'm not sure if NCL does Alaska or not, but our boys still keep in touch with the teenprogram staff people they met, they really enjoyed NCL's teen program

We were in Alaska in June. We sailed on the Celebrity Galaxy. The teen program was wonderful. My son was involved in the teen activities every day, we saw him at meals and when we went onshore. Other than that, he was with his friends.

At the end of the cruise he received a variety of small gifts for participating -- a small duffle bag, an appointment calendar, a notebook, a mouse pad. He appreciated these items very much, more than if I had bought them for him. The teens spent the last night of the cruise taking pictures of each other. All of them were very sad to part when the cruise ended.

Alaska is wonderful. Happy sailing!
