can I believe the current word that Carnival is much improved. I've been on several including Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, etc. and never wanted to touch Carnival. Am now considering. Can anyone tell me more, especially about the Triumph?

Have not been on the Truimph, but was on the Destiny a couple of years ago. Had a great time, thought food, service, entertainment was as good as any other line we have been on (HAL, RCI, Celebrity, NCL). In fact the cruise director (John) was the best we have ever had in 24 cruises. The maitre'd was our head waiter on one of the RCI ships several years ago. Had no complaints. The best buffet variety on any ship.

We sailed with Carnival on the Fantasy last month and enjoyed every minute. There was plenty of good entertainment and also places for quiet times. The food was delicious and the service wonderful. We had no complaints!

We have been on the Triumph and it is beautifull. This was our first cruise so I don't have any other ship to compare it to. The rooms were very nice the service was great, the food, and entertainment great. I would go again on it.

I just got back Saturday from the Triumph, and it is a wonderful ship. Carnival has definitely improved -- lots of live classical music, much more sedate interiors, great cabins, better food (and more choices), excellent entertainment, etc. The Triumph is amazing. By all means an ultra-modern ship, but it definitely has a ship-like feel. It has wonderful side decks off the lobby, which put you very close to the water. There are lounges for every taste -- the Oxford Bar, with its leather chairs and wood paneling is perfect for afternoon tea, and then enjoying a cigar after dinner. The California Wine Bar is perfect for a before dinner drink, and there is a great coffee bar, which always has a piano playing. The cabins are roomy, and the balconies fantastic. The only complaint I had was our head waiter, who sometimes forgot who ordered what. But the food was so good, this really wasn't an issue. If you haven't sailed on Carnival, the Triumph is worth a long, hard look, especially since it has reasonable fares.

Just returned from an 11 day Hawaii Cruise on the Jubilee and loved it. The food and service was great. The ship was very clean and the entertainment was good. We have taken 3 Carnival cruises and find them to be well worth the money.

Does anyone know how prices compare between ships like Bolero and Triumph? Sometimes I wish we had not received such a great deal on our cruise on the Bolero. It may have spoiled us! I worry that the Bolero will not sail next year, We were hoping to sail again with that ship next March break. If the Bolero does not go I don't think we will get a price anywhere near as good.Any info would be great.

I have been on Sensation, Fantasy, Paradise,
Holiday, Tropicale, Triumph, Destiny,
Facination, Ecstacy, Elation and have enjoyed them all.Holiday does need some worl on the ship its self.Triumph was the BLAST
and I am booking her again in August.
Triumph had a better and more shipish feel than Destiny.DONT GET ME WRONG Destiny was AWSOME.We also had the best time there.

They had a special "edition" of our local channel's news magazine, Chronicle, on Monday evening profiling cruising and, in particular, Carnival's Destiny which will be taking a special north-bound trip out of Boston. I was very surprised at the slant that the Cruise Director not only allowed, but encouraged - that of one, great big booze party! And I KNOW that Carnival has worked hard to improve that image. If we'd seen the show before our first cruise, I'd have had trouble convincing my hubby to go. They talked about all the alcohol consumed and spoke with passengers who were obviously on board to spend the majority of the day and evening drinking and partying. They did show the food preparation and kids areas and entertainment, but the rest of it overshadowed any of that. Too bad, because I don't think that lovely ship deserved that kind of image. As has been said, if they weren't doing something right, they wouldn't be so popular!

I have only taken two Carnival cruises and
that was some time back, I would like to go
again on one of the big ones.....perhaps the
Triumph. Carnival is not the company I use
as I like a "quieter" cruise, but their
success speaks volumes so don't be hesitant
to give them a try.
