I have just received a decent price ( the same as the Bolero ) for the Sensation. We have only been on 1 cruise , The Bolero and don't know what to expect from this much larger ship. Anyone been on the Sensation especially over the March break? I need your advice quick I have until tomorrow to let the TA know. Things are booking up really fast. The itinerary is Western Caribbean, Grand cayman, Cozumel and New orleans. Please help.

If you can go on this ship at the same cost {check it out}, go ahead. Making a decision will probably put you and your family out of a lot of misery so that you can start looking foward to the trip instead of continued agonizing.
We are booked on the Rembrandt in late September. Since booking last week, my partner has been sorting thru clothes daily, visiting the local malls and making up lists on the computer as to what to take with her. This even though she"s made about six cruises with me. It gives me pleasure to see this.

I think that her suitcase is already open in the spare room and half filled. Go ahead and book something.

I was on the Sensation three years ago.
It is very bright and large, but it was very easy to find your way around and we enjoyed every minute. I think it is great to experience new cruise lines. I try to go on as many different ships as I can just so each vacation is different. I am booked on the Zaandam next April (my first Holland America cruise). Have fun!

Your right Topgun. Tomorrow , I am going to call the TA and book this cruise. The cruise is only $300 total more than the Bolero. We are thinking the itinerary sounds great now. The thought of going to New Orleans really appeals to us. We also have a guarantee that we will get the cheapest fare and we have a chance of being upgraded. The only thing that will give us any worry is the tipping. On the Bolero the tips were included in the booking price so we did not have to worry about that part of the cruise. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Tipping is well laid out in the carnival brochures. They suggest $3.50 a day per person for your waiter and cabin steward and $2.00 per day per guest for the assistant waiter or you can prepay at $9.5 per day per guest. Prepaying is $0.50 per day above the guideline rate however you know that it is taken care of and you don't have to budget for it. I've been lead to believe that you can change this at the pursers desk if necessary. You can also slip the folks a few extra bucks for all of that pampering.

You'll love it! The Sensation was a top-notch ship, when we sailed her in '98. Have fun!

Well, we did it. We booked our trip for next March on the Sensation. Believe it or not but I think I am going to miss the Bolero. Our TA said we will think we have died and gone to heaven the difference between the two ships there is just no comparision. We are really excited now that we have made the move and actually booked. I have been browsing some other sites for info on the Sensation and I have been reading alot about the Stingray tour. Oh it sounds so wonderful. We can't wait. thanks again
