I have not cruised Commodore before, however, I have booked the Enchanted Isle for march 2001. All information I have received is very positive concerning the cruise, accommodations, service and activities.

Thank You for asking,

Let me start with some back ground on me. I have cruised on Sitmar, Delta Queen, Princess, Windjammer, Commodore, Premier and on Carnival more times then I like to count. One cruise line I would cruise on again without a second thought is Commodore. I'm always looking for a good cruise value.

Now lets start with my favorite topic dinning. Some of the best food and service I have ever had was on the Enchanted Isle. The food was nicely presented and was some of the tastiest I have ever had. Most nights I had fish for dinner.
Most mornings breakfast in the dining room was open sitting. There was also a nice buffet at The Bistro. This also was true for lunch.
The entertainment on board was very good by cruise standards. On some of my other cruises I walked out on the shows or had wished I had , not on this ship the shows where good. The Enchanted Isle Orchestra even had it's own show (jazz and ragtime music), I bought the tape and it brings back good times.
My cabin was 220 and it was large by cruise line standards. My room steward was tops in my book his name was matt and he was great on names.
I normally do not do pool games but this cruise I did and everyone that plays wins. I got a visor, mug and a water bottle.
The ships officers are German and the run a good ship. The head chef was French and that does make a difference the rest of the crew is mostly from the Philippines.
Note: the purser's office is open all the time (on Carnival it is not).
Now on to some more fun, I have done these ports a few times so I will tell you what I know.
Cozumel-
If your into snorkeling this is the place some of the cleanest waters you will find. If you what to see some mayan Ruins TULUM is your best bet. Have also heard good things about the Jeep Island tour. Cozumel is also good for shopping ( there was a shopping expert on board and he knew his stuff better than anyone I've ever know).
Grand Cayman-
Here there is only two choices in my book, Island& Stingray Combo or just do the Stingray City by it's self. The shopping here is not that good , but the rum cake can not be beat.
Montego Bay-
If this is your first time to Jamaica DUNN'S RIVER would be my pick. Big two thumbs down on the shopping here. Heard bad reports on the City tour, and Rafting. I have also done the LETHE PLANTATION would not recommend it to anyone.
New Orleans-
The ship docks near the River Walk Mall. There are no words I can use that can do justice to the city , just have fun.
I'm sure I have left some things out, If you have more questions ask.
I can also scan some of the daily schedules if you what.
This ship is a little old but it's one that I like.
Note: The Enchanted Isle has one of the highest repeat passenger rates in the cruise business. That says alot.

I was on the Enchanted Isle in April. This was my fourth cruise, first being on RCL's former ship the Song of America, second on the Sensation, third on the Regal Empress. The Enchanted Isle is well maintained but I found the decor somewhat garish-flourescent lighting everywhere, including the main dining room. Our stateroom was large and the bathroom was huge by cruise ship standards, it had a full bathtub and a bidet! The activities were pretty standard, the gym just adequate. However, if you like to sun yourself there are plenty of open sun decks to do this on. Food was good, although there was no 24 hour alternative-both the Sensation and Regal Empress had this. I think you will have a good cruise.
