Ok, I think this is probably a dumb question, but I'm going to ask it anyway! Does Ft. Lauderdale have only one cruise pier, and is it called: Port Everglades Cruise Port? We're going down a few days early and are staying in a hotel that says it's "2 blocks from the Port Everglades Cruise Pier." I just want to make sure that's the pier we want! (We'll be sailing on RCI's Enchantment of the Seas, just in case there are several piers.)

Laura - yes it is called Port Everglades and there will be signs to direct you to the road into the pier from 17th Street Causeway. And yes there are many piers, there will be signs directing you to the pier where Enchantment is docked. What hotel are you staying at?

We're staying at the Best Western on the 17th Street Causeway...their website says that some rooms have views of the cruise port. Guess we're pretty close, huh!?!

Sure is - we always stay at Pier 66, lovely place, but expensive. Have a great cruise.

Laura: We stayed at the Best Western two weeks ago for one night prior to our cruise on the Celebrity Century. The hotel is very near Port Everglades. When we woke up on Saturday morning, and looked out the window, the Sea Princess was docked right across the causeway from the hotel. Then when we went downstairs for breakfast, we walked to the end of the sidewalk and looked down the causeway and could see the Century and a Holand America ship. Have a great time!

Mercy - No, we booked the hotel on our own (and probably wouldn't choose that hotel again) there was nothing really wrong with it,and the views of the ships on Saturday morning were great, but we'd probably select something different next time.

There is only one port in Fort Laurderdale. It does have many piers. We did stay at the Mariott Resort and drove and parked at the pier.

This is located in southern Fort Lauderdale.

Regarding my post immediately above. The web site for Port Everglades is correct, but clicking on the apparent hyper link does not work. If, however, you type it in as it appears, you will go to the Port Everglades web site. I don't know why the hyper link doesn't work. Maybe Joe or Malcolm can explain.
