Has anyone heard or read if the Celebrity "Infinity" will be finished for it's maiden voyage on March 3rd?

I just read that the Infinity is being delayed until June.The post said their agent e-mailed them with the news.It also said the offical statement will be made next week. I just read this on another site,don't know if it is true.

Infinity will be delivered by Chantiers de l'Atlantique in February 2001 with one month late because the ship will be enter in Saint-Nazaire drydock "Forme Joubert" in january 2001 where the ship will receive the same works that Millennium at Newport.

So, Seven Seas Mariner who normaly will be in "Forme Joubert" in january 2001, will be transfert to Brest for completion.

I just read a post that the Millennium is still having vibration problems even after the modiforcation.I would think they would want the Infinity corrected before they accept it.

On occasions, Celebrities 'Galaxy' and the 'Mercury' suffer from extreme vibrations in their respective dining rooms. It has to be experienced to be believed! This is why most of the classic Ocean Liners had their first class dining rooms amid-ships.

It looks like Celebrity have a major design flaw with Millennium. Sticking a bit extra on the stern has obviously has not worked!

Malcolm,We also experienced the vibration in the dining room on the Mercury ,only when leaving port.I didn't mind it,I enjoy the view.

Four cruises - 2 each on Galaxy and Mercury.
7 nights straight on each cruise..... those olives did not want to stay in the glass!!!
However, the vibration is not felt at every table. Seems to occur at tables which are placed aft and just off the center line of the ship.

The windows are great.....but wish they wouldn't close the draperies on formal nights.
