Does anybody travel with magicians similar to the lady I sail with.

While ashore, this female person can disappear in the blink of an eye. You are walking down the main street of the port and suddenly, presto, you realise that your companion is no longer with you.

Chances are that she may have peeled off in a store over the last half mile or so.

As a result, has anyone ever noticed the small huddles of males on the sidewalk waiting for the great reappearing act?

I had the opposite - a disappearing MAN! No matter where would be, Mall, islands, you name it - I would turn around and he was gone!

So, it's not only the WOMEN!

True story: A few years ago we were in Puerto Rico (the salesmen are so helpful), I was looking around the store for my husband and because I am short could not see where he was in the store, just knew he was there someplace. The salesman asked he could help me, I said "No, I am just looking for my husband". He said "No problem, give me 5 minutes and I will find you one". We will never stop laughing over that one. Watch out guys, if you are missing you can be replaced, in 5 minutes or less. Actually I want to keep the one I have.

I always checked to let my husband know which store I may be darting in or out of.The trouble was he stayed too close. I would've liked to do a little more shopping if you get my drift.....

I do the disappearing act all the time. We have resolved this by first picking out a bar that my husband can meet me in. This way he does not "get lost" looking for me.

Not quite on topic, but on our last cruise I had gone into a shop to look for some presents to bring back. When I came out there was my husband standing in front of the door with his hat in his hand saying, "Please help, my wife is in there shopping". Some men actually did try to put change in the hat.... too funny
