I was happy to see a couple of friendly people on this board. Sail7seas started a thread yesterday asking what other boards prople read/post. This was one of the boards that was mentioned. I guess I made another fatal mistake at CC, I mentioned another board that apparently is on their hit list. A message appeared when I tried to post and blocked it. I then went back, without mentioning the board, but complaining about the censorship and sure enough that was zapped in a couple of minutes.

This board looks very interesting, but I think I like the individual cruise lines in a seperate thread. I am a newbie here, so it might just take a little time to get familiar with the different format.

Thank you for the welcome.
Dave

Dave: Welcome, my wife and I both attended Sac.State wiich became CSUS prior to graduation. We still have relatives that live in Sacto. and a brother-inlaw lives in Elk Grove.
One thing I think you will find here more so than on other boards is that you are with family or at the very least friends here. I do not post on the other board you mention but do observe.
Once again welcome
Kevin

Welcome aboard Dave! It all seemed strange to me a few years back, but now it is a way of life!

Do check out the other resources, like the 'Readers Reviews' and 'Ship Reviews', menu left.

Dave, I personally find it much easier not having a seperate forum for each and every cruise line.

The reason is that I'm not interested in one or two cruise lines, I'm interested in all of them, and it takes hours to start going through dozens of forums.

My first cruise forum was from whence you came and I trust you'll find it much friendlier here.

Obviously I like it, look at my number of posts !

Malcolm, look at your number of posts !

Hi Dave...I'm happy I posed the question the other day "over there" and that it led you here.

Welcome, Dave Edwards.I'm sure you will enjoy it here.
I would appreciate your not passing on any recommendations to Danno or Doone.
By the way, whats your take on Holland America not providing laundry facilities on their newbuilds?

Topgun, you have to be one of those mystery members from CC that Gizmo talked about. Wasn't Dan from North Ontario? Dan+NO - could be. I would be the last one to pass anything that was secretive.

But who was queen of the laundromats on HAL, why that would be Doone. But she would have never picked the name topgun. But what if I was not the DaveEdwards that posted on CC. That would sure surprise some of you.

Bye,
BB

At the risk of turning this into a chat line, I must admit that some of us have taken refuge over at CC for a short time to avoid some temporary aggravation.

Its easy to tweak tails over there, especially when some dillybar asks if they provide clothes hangers in the closets on the Volendam, and if so how many.

Burial at sea and the Ironing board topic kept many of us laughing for days.

Anyway, Joe, we're back, please dont bleep us out.

Know something, I gave no thought to laundrettes on the Zuiderdam and only checked it out today. Personally I don't go on a cruise to do laundry - anything other than 'the smalls' are sent out. I did occasionally use the iron but will now reinstate my 'steamer' although hanging things up the bathroom is frequently more helpful.

Could that be an indication that Zuiderdam will undertake only 7/10 day voyages?

Welcome Dave! - hope you're not Danno or Doone in disguise!

Re Karaoke, yes. Couple of years ago almost got the Captain of Pacific Princess to join us.
How did you know about my prowess, or am I missing something?
