Just as my Pricing Pranks thread has passed on, I've noted that Celebrity just changed their pricing to include the cheapo prices for ALL standard cabins (inside/outside), not just guarantees, this includes triples and quads (YES!). So they've come through after all .

I'll let all of you know if we book something, naturellement.

Bermuda experts, see here as I'm wondering which itinerary is better (HORIZON or ZENITH).

You, who finds the Carib. boring, asks about Bermuda......what can be more boring than sail a day-and-a-half to get there, park the ship, and maybe move it a couple miles once or twice, and then sail back to NEW YORK.....again a day-and-a-half.......it's only a "floating" hotel! The cruise lines long ago realized the cheapest four night stay in Bermuda was on a cruise ship! For a ship/cruise enthusiast, as I believe you are, Bermuda is not where you want to go!!! Lastly, you know, they are exactly the same ships.....Horizon was built two years earlier and re-furbed one year earlier!!

I'm not picking the destination, AND I happen to think that Bermuda is much nicer than most of the Caribbean. Not having to fly is nice too.

I don't think I need you to tell me where I want to go. I'll admit right off the bat that Bermuda is certainly not the most fascinating place, but I'd take it over, say, Cozumel any day!

Yes, I do know, what is your point? I asked which ITINERARY was better, not which SHIP.

My "tongue-in-cheek" response to your "post" was a test.....you passed with flying colors! I just knew you would dissect it into at least three pieces..... surprisingly, you didn't do four! I'm glad I passed my test with the ages of the two ships and their one year re-furb differential......whew!!! And, on another topic, don't plan on going to Miami on 7/7, CAR.TRIUMPH will be in San Juan that day....she leaves Miami on Sat.7/5!!! And, that's a cruise....... 2 days to get to San Juan....5PM arrival second day, and 2 sea days back to Miami after stops in ST.THOMAS/ST.MAARTEN. Excellent!!....but, I don't want to tell you where to go! It's only my humble opinion!

7/7 CARNIVAL VICTORY is from NY. Did I say TRIUMPH somewhere?

I get the two confused; we've had TRIUMPH for a few years now here in NY and the did a "switch" this time .

Anyhow, much to my annoyance, Celebrity lowered the prices yesterday and then raised them today (I think)! If we decide to go on something (not sure if we're going ANYWHERE, final decision not yet made) we'll call our T/A to see if they REALLY did that but it looks like it.

On the plus side Carnival has lowered the VICTORY prices so low down that they're now insanely cheap, five days in an inside for $349, outside for $429, balcony $529, or suite $899. Pretty good if you ask me.
