Possibly the two that sail in and out of Tampa? Although truthfully I'm not sure.

The Sensation and the Ecstasy cut the aft mast (the one on the funnel) in order to pass under the Tampa Bay Bridge.

I never knew there was an aft mast ! Well I got another trivia question...

What is the difference between the last two Fantasy-class ships and the earlier ones, other than that ELATION and PARADISE have Azipod Propulsion?

The Elation and Paradise are powered by the Azipod system instead of the standard prop/rudder design.

Sorry, my post got cut off. I would think the Azipods would lower the center of gravity of the ships and make them ride lower in the water.

Quite the opposite. The azipods are lighter than the propeller shafts that they make unnecessary. It's the total weight of the ship rather than the location of its centre of gravity that determines how deeply it rides in the water, everything else being equal.

The ships would be the Inspiration and the Sensation which both sail out of Tampa.

Okay, here is some more triva:

1. Who came up with the Carnival signiture wing funnel? Why does Carnival have the colors red, white, and blue in the pattern that they do?

2. What was the propesed name for Carnivals fist new building (this was happening at the same time Carnival was getting the Festival)? Why was this new building droped? How big was she going to be? And How much was she going to be?

3. What company did Carnival try to purchase in the 1980's besides HAL? Why didnt Carnival get them?

and lastly:
4. Who foundered Carnival (first and Last name)? Where were they from? Why was the name Carnival used? When did the second partner drop out?

Good Luck,
Tyler

1. Logo was a "takeoff" on the CANADIAN PACIFIC logo. Was cheaper to revise the existing paint job on the EMPRESS OF CANADA (MARDI GRAS) than to totally start from scratch (?)

2.?

3. ?

4. Founded by businessman from TEL AVIV named TED ARISON after leaving partnership with KNUT KLOSTER of NCL in 1972 (?)

Shockingly, Joe Farcus drew a sketch of the wing funnel during a meeting when the TROPICALE was stilll in the design process. The pattern was based off the last Canadian Pacific logo, but the red, white, and blue was the make it more US-friendly.

The company was Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. The three original founders each had shares in RCCL. Carnival managed to get a deal to buy the shares from two people, but the last guy brought the shares from the other two founders. I think on one of the VOYAGER-class ship, a library(?) is named after him...

I think its AITS that was the other partner. Carnival Cruise Line used to be a subsidary of AITS. Ted Arison somehow brought the rights to it and resumed all the debts.

Whats number 2?

Ok,the answer to #2 is:
dun dun dun....
At Kawasaki Heavy Industries (the same one that refited that Festivale) Carnival had an agreement to build a new ship for Carnival, a 30,000 gross tons, 1000 passengers, and at an expected price of $56 million, but the reson why it wasnt built was because the price ran over $100 million dollars.

#1 is Keitaro is right, Jow Farcas can up with the design of the wing funnel as well as the Tropicales interoir design. The colors come from a new system of logo coloration, called multimark, a geometric design showing a triangle and a crescent inside the square with colors that were appropiate for the ships services. The colors were made to make Carnival more american like.

#3 Keitaro you you are correct again! but, can you name the company?

#4 Keitaro, you did it again! Buit can you name the person? And what does AITS stand for?
