Okay, so I'm not that upset, but I just got some unsolicited cruise specials from Carnival. They obviously took my information from Princess, from whom I do receive requested specials/information.

I promptly opted out, assuming that Carnival isn't nefarious like other spammers and will truly cut me from their list (and also hopefully not share my email address with others).

This is probably the first thing that has really ticked me off about the Carnival/Princess marriage.

It happen to me too. Only with HAL, reseve there information on request. But some times after that i begun to reseve news letters frome the leading world cruise lines included Carnival, Costa, Cunard and the otheres. I also opted out and they remove me frome there mailing list no problems.

Greatings Ben.

I started receiving email from Carnival this week but it is a different email address then what Princess has for me.

I did receive email from HAL this past year saying "Specials for those who have sailed on Princess"........

Ditto here too...but my problem is I actually took a Carnival Cruise...now I get 2-3 "special offers" a day emailed too me... most of them are options to book on quick turn cruises to Florida residents...cheap rates if you can go this week, etc...

If you don't like getting the emails, use your email program to tag the address as a spam and you'll never see it again...or it will go to a separate folder. Opting out does not always work...usually it leads to getting more spam because the list of opt-outs gets sold to other companies for $$$.

I get more emails from Princess than any other line. Second place is Cunard (especially since Cunard took over). Third is Carnival. I also get quite a few from Oceania. I hardly receive any from Holland America and NCL. I signed up for them all so I'm not complaining, but it's interesting that the top three are all owned by Carnival Corp. They seem to direct market more than most. I get very few from Royal Caribbean and Celebrity although I have sailed on both.
