Now i've just been having so much luck lately... First Katrina hit hardest where I used to live in Mississippi (Long Beach). Now Hurricane Rita is expected to hit Texas where I used to live (Lake Jackson, 40 miles south of Houston(Brazoria County)) My prayers go out to everyone there and hope it's not nearly half as bad as Katrina.

Hurricane Rita is expected to hit Galveston and Corpus Chrisiti areas. I wonder where the cruise ships will go next, since some of them moved to Galveston to use as a homeport for all cruises since they couldnt from New Orleans, now What!

I saw one news story that suggested that Rita may cause as much as $10 billion in damage. Doesn't sound like the Gulf Coast will get a break. It stinks; that was us last year.

After the hurricane has come and gone, the public relations windfall for Carnival will be worth millions in promo and hype. Everyone is falling over each other touting their company provided aid. Carnival will use this as a huge writeoff for old supplies and interior furnishings. They will save a bundle on this operation. I bet they are already ordering new bedding and carpets right now. Any business would.
