Does anyone know how I can find the name of Celebrity's port agent at Civitavecchia?

Not 100 per cent certain, but I think it is probably Cambiaso and Risso.

Thanks for the response, but in fact it's not them - I emailed them and got "not me, guv' " reply.

Looking at a two-year old Celebrity cruise brochure that I've dug out since first posting, there's a mention of 'Aloschi Bros'. They don't seem to have much of a web site, however. Anyone know anything about them?

Here's my reason for asking: there have been a number of stories circulating to the effect that Celebrity passengers arriving at Leonardo da Vinci airport and transferring to Civ are being told that they have to put their hand luggage in the luggage-hold of the coach, i.e. they can't carry it onto the coach. Furthermore, there have accounts that in a few instances things (valuable things, such as cameras and laptops) have been missing on arrival at Civ. I would like to check this with the port agent before we go - my assumption is that the transfer operation is organised by the port agent, not the cruise line.

I think you need the "Shore Agent" rather than the "Port Agent" (although these two roles may be the same company)

If it helps any I just got off the Legend of the Seas today and they use Aloschi Bros for the transfer to FCO airport. I did not use in the incoming transfer as I was in Rome already but I used it to the airport. In fact RCI used Aloschi Bros for their shore excursiosns in Naples. Since RCI and CEL are one in the same I am assuming they use them for CEL. I found them to be very good and my luggage was handled very well and nothing was missing.
