PRESS RELEASE FROM LOUIS CRUISES

Piraeus, December 20, 2012

“Louis Olympia” and “Orient Queen” sail for Louis Cruises and introduce passengers to a new “Kalimera” experience.

Last year, Louis Cruises took a turn towards a new product that reflected the company’s Hellenic roots, a move that proved highly successful given the very positive comments and feedback received from passengers. This year, Louis further enhances its Hellenic identity and fine tunes its product which is now reflected in the company’s new slogan: “Kalimera. We Say It. You Live It.” “Kalimera”, the Greek wish for a good day, is much more than a slogan for Louis Cruises; it’s an entire and complete experience that will be offered to all passengers sailing aboard “Louis Olympia” and “Orient Queen” in 2013.

The Louis Cruises “Kalimera” experience promises a good day, every day both at sea as well as on shore. The renowned warm-hearted Greek hospitality, a high level of service with a genuine smile wishing passengers a good day and striving to
deliver just that, the flavours and aromas of the Greek islands reflected in the sumptuous cuisine and the unique destinations on offer - introduced to passengers by the only local cruise operator with expertise in the region are merely some of the pieces that all together form a unique and genuine experience in Louis Cruises’ very own home waters.
“Orient Queen” will be operating the first sailings of the season commencing March 15th 2013. She will be offering 3 and 4 day cruises up until April 26th 2013 when this operation will be undertaken by “Louis Olympia”.

Featuring 9 passenger decks and 7 elevators, “Louis Olympia” can accommodate 1664 passengers in 725
comfortable and welcoming staterooms, 419 of which with window views and 21 suites, 9 of which with balconies. With 3 eating outlets to choose from, passengers can enjoy the sumptuous Greek and Mediterranean cuisine on board as well as 24-hour room service. A large show lounge, various other lounges, the Casino Royale, the spacious decks – ideal also for parties by the 2 large swimming pools – and the 5 bars on board provide a complete entertainment at sea. A fully equipped gym, badminton, basketball and table tennis are
available along with the Ocean’s Spa for treatments and saunas. The Kid’s Club, duty free shops, library and Internet corner complete the memorable experience offered on board. “Louis Olympia”, with a name reflecting the eternal values of the ancient sanctuary and birthplace of the Olympic Games, forms a true ambassador for Louis Cruises’ newly revamped Hellenic product and identity.

“Orient Queen” will, as of April 26th 2013, be operating the new and exciting Louis Cruises 7 day itinerary that is truly pioneering since for the first time ever, passengers now have the opportunity to enjoy a day-long stay at Istanbul and an overnight stay in the Aegean’s most cosmopolitan island: Mykonos! More specifically, sailing from Lavrion (Athens) or Istanbul, “Orient Queen” will be providing her passengers with the fantastic opportunity to enjoy from 8 am till 8:30 pm on Saturday the fascinating sites of Istanbul, whose history is synonymous with the glory of three empires. Arriving at Mykonos at 6pm on Sunday, passengers can now experience the island’s
beauties until midnight on Monday. This 30 hour stay in Mykonos provides guests sailing with Louis Cruises with the unique chance to enjoy the world famous Mykonos nightlife, a romantic sunset at ‘little Venice’, sunbathing on one of the island’s renowned beaches, a swim in the crystal blue waters and of course a life-enriching shore
excursion to the Ancient site of Delos. With the 7 day itinerary no longer featuring a technical call to Lavrion, passengers will now be able to enjoy an uninterrupted and authentically Hellenic experience at sea while they visit some of the Eastern Med’s most magical destinations.

With a total of 355 staterooms, “Orient Queen” can accommodate up to 912 passengers. Her public areas feature 2 swimming pools, an mphitheatrically shaped show lounge, 3 bars, a unique disco area, 2 eating outlets, a mini golf court, a Beauty & Health Spa centre, an internet corner, a library and a shopping alley at sea. Her comfortable accommodation featuring 30 junior suites and 5 suites make the 7 day cruises from Athens or Istanbul to truly breathtaking Greek islands and Turkey’s most enticing ports an unforgettable experience. Be it for 3, 4 or 7 day cruises in the Aegean, the choice for a genuine introduction to the region’s most welcoming ports and a true Hellenic experience on board is one: Louis Cruises.

So, where is going LOUIS CRISTAL ??
And this announcement is a bad news for the CORAL, still laid up in Eleusis Bay, alongside THE CALYPSO...

Orient Queen was built as the Starward for NCL and Louis Olympia was built as Song of America for RCCL.

If anything the Coral or the Louis Cristal will operate cruises out of Cyprus. They usually do not have those sailings listed until sometime in the new year.
