It is a great business plan Royal Caribbean has niches in Germany, France, and Spain.
All inclusive is very good system for us, french people, because we don't now the tips principe.
Meal, food ans very good and crew very smily.
In 2014, Croisière de France will operate Horizon and Zenith.
If you speak french, come with us. Great experience.
the CDF ships, HORIZON and soon also the ZENITH, are beautiful ships, perfect size and probably ideal for CDF. But the HORIZON is in deep need of refurbishment in various areas (carpets, cabins, pool area, to just name a few). A pity that the massive, original wooden furniture in the cabins which still date from Celebrity times, has been painted white and color is falling off on some places. The problem is, that the original surface of the doors were not made to be painted. But that's just a detail.Otherwise the HORIZON offers a good product, excellent food and all-inclusive experience. Let's just hope that they will soon offer a bigger variety of itineraries (would be great if they follow the steps of Croisières Paquet but that probably won't be the case). During winter months, the ships will be operated by Pullmantur Cruises in South America.

Most European brands will not mail to North America due to the expense, and some do not even mail period. They figure if you can go online to order a brochure, you can simply download the PDF or browse it on your iPad. This is especially true with lines that are focused on the 35-65 bracket - 99% of them have an iPad or tablet and don't want or need paper.
I tried to order a Fred Olsen brochure and what I received was a catalog from their rep in the US. It's 100+ pages but only seven pages are dedicated to FOC - seven pages of little maps and starting prices, nothing more. And they seem to wonder why their efforts to attract North American consumers has failed?
RCCL wants you to sail RCI, Celebrity or Azamara if you speak English. If you're Hispanic/Latin and live in Europe or South America, Pullmantur. (They don't market to Spanish-speakers in North America) And if you are French, CDF. They are intensely focused and intent on keeping you "in a box" depending on your residency - which has its upsides and downsides.
