P&O Cruises announced that its Adonia cruise ship will re-join line's fleet in June 2017. The return of Adonia comes after a year sailing under Fathom, Carnival’s social impact cruise line.
Whilst sailing for Fathom, Adonia has taken many conscious cruisers to the Caribbean for impact travel experiences. The social impact itineraries give guests the opportunity to make a difference during their holiday by contributing to the local communities of Cuba and the Dominican Republic. Adonia will continue her cruises to the Caribbean until she re-joins the P&O Cruises fleet in the summer of next year.
Adonia previously proved to be a popular cruise ship with P&O Cruises guests due to the ships smaller size, intimate atmosphere and personal service. Onboard highlights include a top deck pool, adjacent whirlpool spas, state of the art fitness centre, Oasis Spa and a library for relaxation.
The new season of P&O Cruises onboard Adonia will be a collection of European sailings that will be available for booking soon.

It's been resolved.
They are certainly loosing money with the recent large fine against them for the water polution although they did sell a Princess Cruises sister ship to the ' Adonia ' !
This would help their finances over the money lost in that fine which was reported as US $ 40 million !
People often forget Carnival started with three old second hand passenger ships and now it just shows how they have squeezed the money out of their passengers to grow to their present size !
Although I do now have Carnival shares I would much have prefered them to have remained as P & O shares when that company and Princess Cruisesa were British owned and your fare included a full 1st class style of silver service which is now an extra in their speciality restaurants which is another way of making money out of their passengers !
We are lucky in the UK that some cruise companies fares do include all meals and silver service.
Some UK passengers are now getting unhappy with the cut backs and extra charges on the US owned P & O Cruises and instead now cruise with the British style CMV Cruises where there is little in the way of extra charges on their older cruise ships which from May 2017 will include the ex P & O Cruises 1990 built 63,786 grt ' Arcadia ' which is to be re-named ' Columbus ' and become the new ' flag ship ' of the five ship fleet of three star cruise ships which operate cruises from many ports around the UK !
CMV Cruises have also been dry docking their classic cruise ships every year, to maintain them in excellent condition, unlike many of the larger companies which now go from three to five years between dry docks as can be seen on many of their websites ! .
