I just saw the last part of Homeground on BBC2 about the Cunard liner Lancastria that sank in WW2 , does anyone have more information?

I have some information but I need more.

The sinking of the16,243 ton former Cunard liner Franconia was the worst British maratime loss ever. On 17 June 1940, she was anchored off St. Nazaire, France to evascuate members of the BEF. There is no accurate figure on the number aboard but it was estimated at over 7,000.She was attacked by German Dornier DO17 bombers which scored 4 direct hits including one bomb down the funnel which exploded in the engine room. Less than 20 minutes later, she rolled over and sank. It is estimated about 4500 to 5000 people died and 2500 were rescued. The official report is still sealed until 2040 under the Official Secrets Act. The ill-fated Captain Rudolph Sharp survived only to die 2 years later as Captain of the Laconia which was torpedoed with a loss of 2000 lives making it the 2nd worst British maritime disaster
