Hello everybody !
Compliments to Vaccaro, Robygen and Barryboat. You did a great job during the time I was on MV THE AZUR. Hope you'll go on like this, so everybody has his own trivia game and it'll be much more interesting.
Which famous ship (12000 tons) is arrested in Napoli since April 1995 ?

Hello Patrick!
You're really welcome!
We all thought you decided to remain aboard M/S AZUR!
I hope your cruise was o.k. either for the working aspect and the resting one.
I think the exact reply to your new trivia is M/S ODESSA of Black Sea Steamship Company.
I'm happy you like my idea to separate everyone's trivia: perhaps this is the first time in my life I had a good idea!
Please contact me at my private mail box because I must ask you something important for my work but not for the readers of the forum.
Bye!
Robygen

Hello Patrick!
Have a good come back!
I don't know the answer.
But after some deductions, may be the ATALANTE (ex TAHITIEN).
In a first time, i have thought about ITALIA PRIMA (ex STOCKOLM wich collided with ANDREA DORIA in 1956), but she's sailing in Carribean for cruises since december 1998.
Bye.

Hello everybody,
I'm sorry Vaccaro, Robygen's answer is the correct one.
MS ODESSA of Black Sea Shipping Company is arrested in Naples since April 1995 due to unpaid invoices of other ships. MS ODESSA serves as a kind of guarantee to the creditors until the bills are paid. Insiders say that they know that the ship will probably be taken out of the arrest in the near future.
MS ATALANTE by the way is still performing cruises. Its owning company Med. Queen Lines has chartered the vessel to New Paradise Cruises, Limassol and they are operating it for 2-3 days cruises to Egypt and Israel out of Limassol / Cyprus. The ship has a strange layout and shape since it has been reconstructed and added some more superstructure in front and back. Like MV LA PALMA (now Louis Cruise Line), the ship is old and well worn.

New question:
TS AUSONIA dissappeared from the Italian market and Grimaldi Siosa Crociere sold the ship. For which cruise line this old lady is sailing now and which company is operating the ship under full charter ?
Hint: The owning line lately bought plenty of older ships and placed them under charter to various companies.

Hello!
Don't be sorry Patrick!
I've tryed one's luck....and i've lost.
It was all credit to Robygen!
In fact, i'm not knowing all about the commercial, judicial and administrative part about cruise lines and cruise ships.
My own documentation is not updated since 1996. (For the last years, my only one documentation is the Net).
On top of that, i had immediatly eliminated the ODESSA because her's tonnage is 13758 grt, rather far from 12000 grt.
Anyway i hadn't the good answer.
Congratulations for Robygen!....and thank you Patrick to learn me that.

Regarding AUSONIA (i had ever seen her at Ajaccio fifteen or twenty years ago), i think her new cruise line is EuroCruises, the largest North American marketer of ships to Europe, operated by various Europen companies. The others ships of this "cruise line" are AZUR (your "last week cruise" Patrick), BLACK PRINCE, BLACK WATCH, BOLERO, FUNCHAL and KRISTINA REGINA.
I don't know wich company is operating the ship under full charter.
Patrick: tell me if i didn't made too mixture with my few informations.
Bye.

Well, i have made some mixture.
The new cruise line of AUSONIA is LOUIS Cruise Line and EuroCruises is only the North American marketer of the AUSONIA and the others ships i've told above... of course!
For the catering company, i'll wait for Patrick's (or Robygen, or anyone else) reply.
Bye.

Hello Patrick!
Maybe you should give us the right answer about AUSONIA?
Thank you.

Hello everybody,
TS AUSONIA now belongs to Louis Cruise Line, Limassol / Cyprus and is operated under full charter by First Choice Cruises for mainly British passengers.
