Majestic Princess
and Imperial Princess

Some alternatives I dislike are:
Beacuoup de Princess
Too Princess (or Princess Too, or Princess Squared)
Grosse Princess
Bored Princess
Indulgent Princess
Indigent Princess
Indignent Princess
and finally the Slovenly Princess (Registered in Slovnian perhaps?)

I think names of famous explorers, poets, artists or writers are always a good choice such as MARCO POLO, VAN GOGH, MICHELANGELO, VASCO DA GAMA, MAXIM GORKIY etc.

You know there is some weird policy that car model has to have abstract name like Carina, Corolla, Vectra and so on. Could work also on ship names.

I think if the Princess retires the FAIR,SKY,ISLAND,STAR and GOLDEN they should have enough names for these new ships that they are building! They may be bigger and have more amentities, but the older smaller ones are all classics!
I first fell in love with the beautiful
PACIFIC PRINCESS! That is a beautiful cruise liner!
LONG MAY SHE SAIL!

Tomsteph,

P & O holidays Australia are retiring the FAIR PRINCESS later this year to be replaced by the SKY PRINCESS which will be renamed PACIFIC SKY, so 2 names have been made available as you suggest.

Princess would probably be out of their minds to retire the Pacific Princess any time soon, given her history as the original "Love Boat."

Malcolm, there's already a Royal Princess, and by all accounts, she's considered the nicest ship in the fleet, at least from the things I've seen posted about out here.

Not so easy to find generic names. Indeed there was already a PRINCESA VICTORIA! (ex-THE VICTORIA, ex-VICTORIA, ex-DUNNOTTAR CASTLE, 1936).
I think the "return" to the use of names of persons or regions, not already used or unused for a long time, should be more original, less confuse and would reflect the personality of the ship.
Bye.

I love Diamond Princess and the other two aren't too bad. But, things like Gorgeous Princess etc. are, no offence, terrible. It make sme think of the Titanic's sister Gigantic. Now there's an idea, calling the Grand's sisters Gigantic P, Massive P, Big P, Slightly Overweight P, or even Morbidly Obese P.

Peter,
Since C@rni@l's Paradise has the no smoking symbol on it, I think they have the guts to do something like that.

I'm surprised that since RCI was so bold in putting "LIKE NO VACTION ON EARTH" on the side of Voyager that next to it they didn't write "www.rccl.com"

When I saw that, it turned my stomach! That's nerve, pulling a marketing gimmick like that in such an obvious and shameless fashion. So typically '90's - in your face.
