So when are you going then?

This bit amused me in the kennel section:-

Other Facts You Should Know:
There is a limit of one car not to exceed 6' x 6' x 10' and two pets per cabin.

Does one have to tip the steward for cleaning the car each day?

Finally I have found a cruise line that will take my dog. His name is Cuddles.
Anybody else with a dog interested? He likes a friend.

The original Queens both had kennels. The France, too. In fact the SS France had a French style lamp post and an American Fire hydrant on the deck so the animals would feel at home and pee properly!(True!)

I wonder if they would unload your car at each port so you could do your own shore excursion? Now do I take the Rolls Royce or Porsche?

That's odd Mike, no cruise line has yet refused Mrs.M passage?

Oh, thank goodness, Mike. I thought maybe Norm had gone to doggie heaven and Cuddles was your new dog. How is Norm - is he not jealous of Cuddles?

Mrs M: Malcolm only said what he did, because he has been under such stress recently--trying to convince us Yanks that we need to get on with our lives after 911 and start traveling again.

So please forgive him. After all, a dog is a man's best friend; therefore, as his wife, you really are his best friend. That's all he was really trying to say...wasn't it Malcolm???

Or at least, Mrs M, you used to be his best friend, until he opened up that mouth of his (again) and said those words that men often say when their brains aren't fully engaged because...well, hmmmmm.

Colt, are you trying to appease MrsM and make excuses for Malcolm? I hope Mrs M reads these posts, 'cos if I were her I'd keep quiet until he did go on a QE2 crossing and relegate him to the shark cage towed behind. Then invite all passengers to watch 'feeding time' once a day; where a fish or two is tossed overboard in the vague direction of said cage.

Pam

Yes Colt, thank you that is EXACTLY the situation. I'm so glad that you are on my wave length.

Joking aside, Mrs M is a total BABE! Have you seen the movie?

Should be after lightening your wallet at the Roman Spa on the Norway.

You mentioned in a previous post that you did not care about getting fat?

Dont get so fat where when you go to the zoo, elephants throw you peanuts

I had a real obese tablemate on the Regal Empress: at dinner he looked at the menu and said OK

You must have a favourite florist, to say nothing of a favourite jeweler, to get away with such remarks.

How much do you budget for 'getting out of the doghouse' posts? With remarks like yours, my other half would be filing for bankruptcy about now - and I' be doing a RTW - solo! - for his account!!!

Explanations like "Darling, what I meant was ....................." don't cut it.

I am thrilled to see that Cunard is now offering roundtrip transatlantic passage, at least on the U.K. website. However, I do not see any mention of this offer on the U.S. site.

Maybe there are lots of empty cabins to sell on the NY to Southampton run?

Boston, Cunard.com has now been updated to feature various deals.

However, I noticed on the UK Cunard web site that you can take a Transatlantic and upgrade to Concord for your return flight at supplement of £2295, ($3213) which including our 17.5% purchase tax (VAT).

However, on the US web site (and CruiseNews) the same supplement is $1995 (£1425). I suspect the US price does not include tax(?), but there would still seem to be a big price difference. In other words us Brits pay about $1000 more, and we earn less on average!

I've not worked out the cruise fare differential yet? Anyone care to?

There should be no VAT on the Concorde up grade supplement and therefore the difference would appear to be all due to what the UK and US markets will stand. There are in any event some differences on return air tickets depending where the round trip commences. For example last year a round trip from Bangkok to London first class was half the cost of the London to Bangkok round trip with BA.
