Anyone ever hear of this guy, Charles Ira Sachs? He use to put together a newsletter called the Oceanic Navigational Research Society (ONRS). He's a big collector of ocean liner post cards and memorabilia. Lived in California. He also use to host Titanic Tonight...a memorial event which once or twice inculded actual survivors. Haven't heard much from from him in recent years, and wondered if any CruiseTalkers heard of him or know him?

One of my best friends, who lives in Portland Oregon knows Charlie quite well ... he often forwards incredibly off-colored jokes that Sachs sends to him.

I have several copies of ONRS journels; not bad but, nothing to write home about. One of the major problems was that folks would pay their dues and it would be years between issues; I think membership has more or less dwindled down to nothing.

I knew him, used to have his number, i had ordered a couple of his issues of his magazine, loved it,but lost them, i would love to order more,but i don't have his number, last that i know he still lives in CA, I could as rick faber or William miller if they have his number, I'll let you know.
