I read the following article in ssMaritime.com

She had been purchased by a Greek owned Hong Kong Company, known as Aquamarine International. Marco Polo’s final Asian cruise departed Sydney on June 7.
This cruise became one passengers would not soon forget. Her itinerary included ports in Japan, then onto Hong Kong, Singapore and Bali. However, in the China Sea, between Nagasaki to Hong Kong, Marco Polo was caught in the grip of a typhoon and suffered a battering for five days, resulting in a number of injuries amongst her 192 passengers. Upon reaching Hong Kong, repairs were needed before she could return to Sydney, were she was de-commissioned.

Actually She left Yokohama on July 22, 1978 as same as Brochure's date so She Left Sydney on July 7 and I assumed that she called at Brisbane(7/9) and Guam(7/16) enroute to Yokohama.

Below is an Itinerary between Nagasaki and Sydney came from brochure.

Nagasaki(7/27 - 7/28) - Hong Kong(7/31 - 8/2) - Singapore(8/6 - 8/8) - Bali(8/11 - 8/12) - Darwin(8/15)- Brisbane(8/21) - Sydney(8/23)

Does anyone know her actual arrival date in Hong Kong or Sydney?

Marco Polo had Pradise lounge, Harbour Bar, Writing room, Rumpus room for Childrens, Oasis complete with poker machines, juke box and outdoor Swimming pool on Boat deck. Haidressing Saloons for Ladies and Gents, Coral Lounge(Starbord side became theater at later) and outdoor Swimming Pool on Promenade deck, Dining saloon on Ivory deck.

Dominion Line had opereted Francis Drake and George Anson until early 1971.

The Francis Drake/The George Anson

Marco Polo began to sail for Dominion Far East Line in 1970.

Marco Polo visited to Pacific Islands such as Tahiti or American Samoa on Tahitian Temptation cruise or Nagasaki, Kobe, Yokohama and Asian ports on Cherry Blosom cruise in the early 1970s.

Dominion Far East Line was the first shipping line for link with Hiroshima and Australian ports by Passenger/Cargo vessels.

When she was acquired by Aquamarine International, renamed Aquamarine.
Boat deck renamed Coral deck, one deck above, some officer 's accommodations were converted to Cabins and named Sapphire deck.
Coral deck Lounge was extended to foward games area, former Coral lounge and theater were converted to cabins renamed Emerald and below decks were Ivory, Jade and Topaz deck.
Topaz deck/aft cabins were removed from passenger's use. and a few cabins on another decks were altered.

In the spring of 1979, she begun to sail 2 weeks China / Japan cruises between Hong Kong and Kobe but only for short period.
