If Pullmantur gets rid of the Pacific do you think it will become a hotel or the sad event of being scrapped

The Pacific needs a lot of work beyond the cosmetics.

Her sister the MS Discovery was in better shape and had a multi million dollar refit to make bring her up to snuff and now deployed for exotic destination cruises.

I hope Gerry Herrod buys her, refits her like the Island Princess and together again in the same fleet.

Well if she goes to the scrapers I’m sure Pullmantur will be in for a rough ride because Greenpeace has their eye on the ship for a while now. They call her a toxic ship and that it is a danger to the environment when scarped on the beaches of Alang.

Desirod,

sadly, Discovery was Gerry Herrod's swan song. He entered a contract to sell Discovery to UK-based Voyages of Discovery with hand-over taking place in May.

Perhaps one of the most mysterious and oft-overlooked titans of the cruise industry, Mr. Herrod is leaving the cruise industry to concentrate on much smaller vessels; his sailboat!

As for Pacific, I imagine she'll either end up in the Brazilian market full time or as a gambling ship in Asia should Pullmantur sell her off.

It is just a guess, but my opinion is, that Pullmantur will do more to try to keep Oceanic rather than Pacific.

It is a kind of happy ship, and wellbeloved too, if I read the spanish cruiseforums, and the popularity it enjoys.

Many rumors in Brazil about Pacific; The cruises have been fully booked and CVC has plans to keep it there for the whole year.
