Due to bad weather. They were tendering and Ian McNaught decided to come home instead because of the 2 metre swells apparently. Canadian reports say strong winds.

St John's, Newfoundland. It was the final port on this trip.

The departure from Halifax was a damp squib according to my crew member. You'll have seen her sail back around the island and stop. They were awaiting a flotilla of water boats which never materialised so headed off.

He'd say that too - Very Important Passenger. I must be considering the amount he spends phoning, especially when they're at sea.

According the CBC news, they are having dreadful weather out on the east coast. Captain was very wise to cancel the port and head for home.

QE2 was in Quebec City on Tuesday and Wednesday, but I fogot to look at the local TV news to see if they made a fuss over it being her farewell appearance.

I had hoped to go to Quebec City to take some photos but ended up having to attend to some other matters.
