Whilst in Amsterdam on Artemis, took the train to Rotterdam, to see the grand old lady "SS Rotterdam".

Thanks for sharing. Looks like the davits are going back on. A set has been installed port side-aft.

Scott you are right, the behind scene of the Maashaven is actually little changed in 50 years.

Andrew i did not know that you was in Rotterdam we could have met. Actual I was on the pier to, taking pictures of the installation of the davits. You're pictures are great, thanks fore sharing. Hope you have a nice time in Rotterdam although the first impression could have be awful at Rotterdam Central Station new build chaos.

Hi Ben, I was meaning to contact you before I departed on Artemis, but work was so busy, and unfortunately I didn't get around to it.

Seems like both Amsterdam and Rotterdam have chaos with building work at the main railways stations!

From my brief visit, I liked Rotterdam, it has a nice feel.

I went to the SS Rotterdam info center, and was shown the exhibition by an retired HAL Electrician who worked on the ship. He was a great guy, and told some very interesting stories.
