I know she made a stop at Nassau, Bahamas...and she also had to make stops at Mexico for Western Caribbean cruises because of the hurricane seasons of '94 & '95. Hope some of you have some.

During the mid-'80s NORWAY sailed to the Western Caribbean nearly every month. Here is a post card image of her at Ocho Rios, along with REGENT STAR:

Those are excellent photos Rich, thank you. The one of both Q.E.2 and NORWAY off St. Thomas is priceless.

Excellent photos. I had seen photos of the ss France anchored off Nassau near what was then called the "Hog Island" lighthouse. She apparently anchored at the same spot as ss Norway, although both the ship and the lighthouse had by then changed names. I had also never seen photos of her off Jamaica. Looking forward to someone posting photos of her at San Juan and Cozumel. Anyone?

I have the famous photo poster from 1991 of NORWAY entering San Juan past El Morro, but no personal photos of her there:

Yes, the NORWAY could come right into the harbor. She remained anchored off shore, but you could see the cruise ships at their piers across from her. I'll find some photos I have of our stop there that'll show you what I mean. I'm just glad I was able to go to San Juan when she was still doing that run.

NORWAY's draft was 35 feet; I believe QM2's draft is about 33 feet. The harbor at San Juan is quite deep, I've seen big tankers going through there all the time.

then why is it that the QM2 won't visit san juan?.....i thought it was because of the QM2 not being able to enter due to the harbour's depth....jeff

QM2 has anchored in the harbour at San Juan, once, but I seem to recall Cunard stated there had to be some dredging done for her to call again - which probably has not been done?

Speaking of TDM99, these aren't exactly Nassau photos and may be just a tad earlier, but I was cruising around the web and apparently he recently struck the motherlode:

Great stuff here... salut, Noel!
