Hello!!!

What i sup with the REGENT SKY ?? She has been in limbo for years, has she ever carried a paying passenger? Are there deck plans anywhere? You knew I would ask that !!! There is a clip of her on Youtube. I wonder ehy MSC never bought her ! She reminds me of the Mistral ! Regency Cruises certainly has some interesting ships !!

REGENT SKY has changed hands recently. A couple of years she was sold to Jay Management was moved from Avlis Shipyards (Lelakis owned at one time) to Salamis near Piraeus and laid up.

There were reports about a year ago that she was sold to Paris Katsoufis (owner of MONA LISA) and would be completed. Actually she was moved to Eleusis Shipyard at that time and was renamed ZOE. Now she appears to be managed by the same company that manages MONA LISA. So, the question is, has Katsoufis bought her?

She remains laid up at Eleusis Bay, with no work be done on her. Let's see, will she ever carry a passenger?

Is the management company is Kymra that is his company.

As for the engines in an interview he said he had engines not specified from where that he would use to re-engine the ex. Fairsky if he buys her. So the assumption has been that the engines from the Regent Sky would be used to save the Atnatic Star ex. Fairsky which is laid up by Pullmantur and reported by Royal Caribbean as nearly sold.

I don't think that Katsoufis referred to the Regent Sky's engines. You see, when the creditors took over Regent Sky, circa 1995, they found out that she was engineless! I am not aware what happened to the engines... maybe sold for cash, when the Lelakis empire was collapsing?

The whole Regent Sky financing was a huge scandal at that time. The state-controlled bank gave huge loans to Lelakis to complete the ship, and apparently the money that was spend on her was much less than the money he received...
