Thanks, not much left of Blue Lady now.

Sorry, I meant to say Ocean Odyssey, quick work there. The brain is befuddled with the ice 'n snow.

Thanks for these sad pictures.

Today it is precisely one year ago that the material I used for this clip has been recorded (22nd of December 2008):

The latest images from December 21 are at the end of each sequence of shots from RE and OO at the bottom of the page. Is it possible your browser is pulling up an earlier version of the page and might need a quick refresh?

Best,

Peter

Thanks for the latest images Peter. I have a question. On the Maritime Matters site, it says that ss Independence may have been abandoned by her owners. Is she just riding her anchor waiting for anyone to take her?

I'm not sure if there are any more details on INDY other than her owners will abandon her if a last minute beaching plea cannot be granted. There is a threat that she may block the entrance to Alang if she deteriorates and sinks, which, although wolf has been cried on this before, may now be a legitimate concern. As with everything to do with shipbreaking and Alang, anything can and will happen, so stay tuned...

Peter

So strange to think that just under a year ago I was sailing to Nassau on the lovely REGAL EMPRESS...and now, twelve months later, my cozy inside cabin, M66, is gone. As is so much more.
