Just wondering, do you think it would be a long shot if NCL had anymore of these posters of the SS NORWAY? I can't afford to buy this one, with the move I'm making I can't afford to throw money around. Here is the poster I'm talking about:

That's one of the nicer ones that I have seen. It will be interesting to see what the final price will be. Vintage steamship posters only go up in value over time. Depending on condition a Cassandra Normandie Poster now commands 5 figures at auction.

Deb, NCL was out of those posters years before the NORWAY stopped operating. They were highly collectible and everybody wanted them. My NCL rep got me several at the time, but they were expensive to produce and not easily obtainable.

My extra copies were sold off over the years on eBay, and my own copy is nicely framed and has pride of place in my house.

$100 for one in good condition nowadays is a fair price--I've seen them sell for much more than that.

I figured maybe I was asking a long shot and got a nice answer for it

. I don't know why my late husband didn't get that poster or if he did; he might have thrown it out. In any case I'm grateful for the answers I got from both of you. I'm well aware of high price some of the most mint posters can go. Oh well, at least I can try and find a way to make a mini poster of it? Do you think that can be done?

I saw this poster or one similar at Cruises International in Shaumburg, IL. It was in an office where you paid for your cruise. Mint condition hanging on the wall (framed).
TAs probably have lots of posters from the various lines and in most cases disguard them after awhile.

That's true Frosty. According to her listing on this poster; it was only sent to top selling travel agents, my husband wasn't. Still, if I had seen it in a travel agency window; I would have called to see if they'd send me one anyway. If I just knew how to make a smaller one like it and have it framed, that would be good enough for me.

Wow, in the 80's I used to call the cruise lines and ask for posters, I have maybe a hundred still in tubes from Sitmar, NCL, RVL, Home Lines, Princess, Carinval, Cunard...I wonder what some are worth?
