WHY GOD CREATED CHILDREN

To those of us who have children in our lives,
whether they are our own, grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, or students...here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control, you can
take comfort from the thought that even God's
omnipotence did not extend to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam
and Eve. And the first thing he said was "DON'T!"

"Don't what?" Adam replied.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit." God said.
"Forbidden fruit? We have forbidden fruit? Hey
Eve...we have forbidden fruit!!!!!"
"No Way!"
"Yes way!"
"Do NOT eat the fruit!" said God.
"Why"
"Because I am your Father and I said so!" God
replied, wondering why He hadn't stopped creation
after making the elephants.

A few minutes later, God saw His children having
an apple break and He was ticked!

"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit?" God
asked.
"Uh huh," Adam replied.
"Then why did you?" said the Father.
"I don't know," said Eve.
"She started it!" Adam said
"Did not!"
"Did too!"
"DID NOT!"

Having had it with the two of them, God's
punishment was that Adam and Eve should have
children of their own. Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY! If you have
persistently and lovingly tried to give children
wisdom and they haven't taken it, don't be hard on
yourself.

If God had trouble raising children, what makes
you think it would be a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT!

1. You spend the first two years of their life
teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing
your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat
their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they
usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

5. The main purpose of holding children's parties
is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own.

6. We child proofed our homes, but they are still
getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY: Be nice to your kids. They
will choose your nursing home.

AND FINALLY: IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TENSION AND YOU
GET A HEADACHE, DO WHAT IT SAYS ON THE ASPIRIN
BOTTLE: "TAKE TWO ASPIRIN" AND "KEEP AWAY FROM
CHILDREN"

That only happens when we try to shift the topic of conversation to ocean liners!

Thankyou Desirod, believe me I enjoyed your post.

For those who were not around then, let me please give some background on the reason for directing the topic to me:--

About three years ago, I had a disastrous cruise to Bermuda with Royal Caribbean during the month of October.

Surprisingly there were in excess of 200 kids aboard ranging in age from around 10 to 16. It was a total disaster. Pools were unuseable. Stairways were blocked with lounging teenagers who also loudly ran around aisles in the cabin areas to the early morning hours.
I well remember a young bride from upper New York State almost bursting into tears telling us how her honeymoon had been ruined by all this.

RCI did nothing to control the situation.

On return, one of my first posts with this board was to rant that situations like this should ever be allowed to start or continue.

Since then, the puzzle as to why all of these kids should have been aboard at this unlikely month of October has been solved.

Apparently, we were on board during a week celebrated by the Jewish community in the New York area.

The lesson that we learned on this was to always buy a US diary each year and check closely for any ethnic or countrywide celebrations in the United States that might not coincide with our own.

Fortunately, we decided to try RCI to Bermuda last year and had an excellent voyage. Also, we found that RCI have now instituted a code of behaviour that permits the company to put non compliant offenders ashore without compensation should all else fail.

I suspect unfortunately that for all of this, my reputation will stick.

You are welcome Topgun,

I posted it as a gesture of friendliness.

It could be worse, you could be their parents.
The obnoxious kids in my Seinfeld episode were right out of my Canberra cruise. Ravioli and screaming Jordan were real. I was 13 at the time and annoyed. P&O puts all children in one section of the dining room.

I have been informed that on the Disney Magic/Wonder an adult never sees the kids since they have many activities to keep all of them busy.

The Norwegian Dawn has a --family-- dining room so adults w/o young kids do not have to eat with them. I saw extensive children's facilities onboard.

From a previous thread: 'Onboard Hookers" I deduced that if teens get to rowdy cruise lines should provide that service, and after some good nookie, they will calm down.

What's the definition of a teenager?
God's punishment for enjoying sex.

For heterosexuals that is
