Does anyone know if Norwegian C. L has excursions to the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island? Do you know if the Atlantis has an open door policy to cruise visitors? I heard that someone just took a taxi there and spent the day on the beach and then taxied back to the ship!

I don't know about shore excursions, but if they are offered, you don't need one. You can see Atlantis from the dock, and it's about a ten minute taxi ride (water or car). The hotel, casino and shops are open to the public. There is also an extensive tour, that has a charge. We walked through the pools and beach, and had no problem. I have heard that you can buy a guest pass for the beaches and water slides.

Atlantis is really the only thing to see in Nassau.

We were at Atlantis over Christmas. We took a water taxi over. However, lots of folks were disappointed. The passes let you walk through the hotel and look at the grounds but not use the slides. At $25 a piece, I could not believe you could not use the slides. This may have been because of the crowds at holiday time, but the hotel had tons of security to make sure you did not use the pools. We were fortunate enough to have a pass through friend who gamble there but I don't think we would have been really happy had we paid the $25. Good Luck.

It has been a couple of years But I am sure it is the same. Take a taxi you have to pay a small fee per taxi to get over the bridge. I do not know about the slides but you can walk all around go to the beach take towels from the ship. I can remember when there was only a couple of small hotels on the Island. The resort is quite something to see! have fun
