This is our first trip to the Western Carribean and have a day at each of these ports. We(6 adults-50ish; and 6 teenagers-14-18) are interested in peoples advice re activities in these ports whether they be ships tours or our own. We are sailing on the Costa Atlantica Mar. 10. Any advice would be great Thanks Chargap

Cozumel I loved the Tulum tour. Great shopping too.
Ocho Rios you should climb Dunn River falls.
Great shopping! Fantastic prices on art,art,art!
Grand Caymen, snorkle with the Sting Rays.
Top Jewelery cheap! Everything else, too over-priced!

I have cruised on the Costa Atlantica last December:simply fantastic.In Playa del Carmen/Cozumel I suggest you to take the excursion to the Chichen Itza mayan ruins,a wonderful archeological site.Tulum has a great position on a sapphire sea but the ruins are disappointing.Another great excursion is Coba,a less known mayan site in the jungle.If you prefer to stay in Cozumel don't reserve an excursion but take a tour of the city where there are many shops with excellent prices(I suggest you to buy some spices,particularly pepper and paprika,and the excellent tequila bum bum.Also the silver jewerly has very good prices).In Ocho Rios choose the excursion to Dunn's river falls(if you wantn't climb you can stay on the beach) and to Cobaya Garden.In Jamaica try the fine Blue Mountain coffe and the rum.The T.shirts have the best prices in the caribbean area.In Grand Cayman an excursion to Stingray City is the best(you can choose if swimn or not with the mantas).You'll also stop at Hell where you can send a postcard and at the Turtle Farm.In Grand Cayman don't miss the exceptional rum cake and ,if you smoke, the cigars.Have an excellent cruise!
