Can someone help??? We will be on the Brilliance of the Seas this fall. Can anyone tell me where the ship will dock at Quebec City??? Also, to Malcolm, I think you were in Halifax last year. What about the "hop on - hop off" bus that stops at 12 stops for you to sightsee on your own? Is this a good way to go? I know that Halifax has lots of very steep hills.

Yep, I was, but I've no idea about the No.12 bus?

Halifax is a charming port. There is an easy walk (10 mins) from the historic Pier 21, along a new board-walk, to the Maritime Museum, seafront shops and cafes. The Museum is small but very good, featuring a little Titanic section.

We walked to the main shops and then to the Fort, which was a up a hill - but not a mega hill, no more than 15 minutes! Taxi's were available, but took a bit of hunting down.

You do not really need to take an excursion in Halifax, if you are mobile.

I will be on Brilliance's maiden cruise to the Norwegian Fjord's, on July 15th, assuming that they finish her on time! I will let you know if the paint is dry.

When we were in Quebec City last summer the cruise ships were docked at the foot of the old city ( lower town). You could walk to the finicular tand take it to the upper town.

Marcia, getting off the ship in Halifax, we walked slightly to left & there was a line of taxi's, must take first in line & we got lucky! name of Eric (no relation) with an old Lincoln continental.Took us to all main sights in Halifax & to Peggys Cove then circled back, 3.5 hours & would wait were ever you wanted for pics etc cost $90 US, good value! PM we had a curtesy bus up to town, saw the shops & walked back along the waterfront, superb views, enjoy
