We will be on the Princess Sapphire. A new ship that first sails in May. The ports are very interesting; Hawaii, tahiti, fiji, Samoas and New Zealand. Several ports in each area.
I doubted I would be bored, but my wife is uneasy about such a long cruise. I will have her read your reply.
Thanx
PS. we live in the bay area.
We were never bored during all the sea days, in fact we couldn't do everything we wanted to. The downside was coming home and having to cook, clean and do the washing. No one to turn down my bed and put a chocolate on the pillow.
Have a wonderful trip. Sounds great.
We've done 20 twice and 25 once, all b-2-b's, and, Saturday, we try 28 days, a b-2-b on Constellation, transatlantic and the Baltics, 2 days in St. Pete!!

Now that's more like it.
I have been on the Hawaii to Ensenada route of 5 days at sea, so know about that. Its at the beginning, so not a problem.
Thank you again for taking the time to reply
I've also done the Trans-Pacific several times and was never bored or had "cabin fever" Life onboard is more leisurely paced than a port-intensive cruise, and the days at sea (which I love) give you more of a sense of journeying to a new country/place than "port-a-day" cruises.
One of the delights is rediscovering the art of conversation with your fellow cruisers from around the world and forming friendships (hey bmajor ) .
Sapphire Princess should have plenty of activities to interest you if you must be 'on the go" between ports. The ship itself will be a great destination!
I'm sailing the Sydney to Southampton sector of Aurora's world cruise February 2005 - a huge 57 nights - that's just under 2 months. I'm sure I'll be very reluctant to leave my "home" when it comes time to "debark" - not to mention as sympatico says, looking for the chocolate on the pillow and for the menu each time I sit down at a table!
Have a wonderful trip and enjoy your time "Down Under"
