I have been sent a number of pics of ships I am trying to determine the ports of call for, and then hopefully find a date. The Radiance sisters was one, which has now been answered.

So, if you don't get bored and tell me to shut up, here's the next. Dawn Princess, but where, please?

Pam

Pam, on the original can you see the country flag on the radar mast? That would give you a good clue (unless you know already).

Sadly no. I have 2 more photos of Dawn Princess here, see here and here, but as everything is so dark in the background nothing much can be made out

I have a photo of Rhapsody who does appear to be flying the Brazilian Flag, but again I have no idea of the port Anyone know please?

A very long shot........
but it does remind me of either Noumea or Papeete as there is a church that stands out. However it would have been quite a while ago as in both cases the waterfront has been reclaimed with a promenade and there are a lot more buildings now.
Has Dawn been down through the Pacific?

Hi Pam,

Your Rhapsody picture looks like it may have been taken in Rio. Look closely at the bridge forward of the bow in the distance. Is probably the bridge to Niteroi.

(Cleanest dock I ever saw in Brazil though!)

Bingo, many thanks, having checked, the pics are indeed taken at Roseau & Rio de Janeiro.

What about these two:-

A browse round Roseau in Google Earth, with the boxes for Geographic Web and Panoramio checked, turns up a number of pictures of cruise ships in and around the port - including a Princess vessel, Constellation, Queen Mary 2, and either Black Watch or Boudicca.
