Hi all!

Can anyone help me decide what to pack for the Eastern Carribean cruise in April. You may think me silly for worrying about this now, but this is my first cruise and I need to purchase some new items. When they say "formal" what does this mean? How formal is "formal"?

Perhaps you could reccommend a web site with this information.

Hi jacki, we are not seasoned cruisers but with 2 under our belts we have picked up a few tips. hope these help. wea er going on Carnivals Pride in March. Pack something warm for out on deck at night, believe it or not but it can fet downright chilly. on our first cruise we had all kinds of weird layers on trying to stay warm. A warmer "nice" sweater or jacket will be useful. When they talk formal that can mean just about anything. my daughter and I swapped stuff so we could double up and get the best out of the outfits we took. we took a long black spaggetti strap dress, very simple we wore that a lot. I bought one of those sparkly cardigans and wore it buttoned up one night which created a skirt effect and another night opened like a jacket! We took a short black dress with a cowl type neck, you really can't go wrong with black! we took a long black skirt and lots of really fancy tops (different colours) my husband took 2 pair of black dress pants and a dress jacket and a selection of ties. he also took a pair of dockers which are still dressy but not to much so. hope this helps enjoy your trip.
