I saw only the first part, as it was rather late.

It was the documentary QM2, birht of a legend, bu Rob Rombout. He made also Transatlantiques, a very evocative, atmospheric documentary of a QE2 crossing, which I liked more.

It was good to see the images of the building again : it makes very clear that a grand liner is really a very big totally manmade object, in which a lot of human intelligence and art goes into. And which is in its premilinay stages also very beautiful and forceful - full of promise and reality.

It was strange to see Cdr.Warwick fêted, after knowing of his controversial leaving with the "round the horn" mutiny of last year.

All by all, the kind of program there is too little of on TV, and this on a very unkind hour.

What is the story on the "Round the Horn" Mutiny on board QM2 involving Commodore Warwick? Does anyone have more details? I have not heard this tale. I have known the Commodore since 1985, our first voyage on QE2. (20 in all)

It is even stranger giving the fact that he was captain aboard QE2 after this infamous refit in 1994. He sailed with passengers on an unfinished ship, full of debris obstructing stairs and corridors and with fire doors stuck halve open - not very responsible.

The stories told by passengers who were aboard QM2 after the pod incident sound very similar to what happened aboard QE2 in 1994. (it has been reported that passenges were informed that all ports will be omited only AFTER the ship left the port of embarkation)
